It also features a Quad-Core Processor 800 2.2GHz Snapdragon which can process 28,000 million instructions per second, ie three times the computing power of the previous generation and double the memory. This allows applications to launch faster and that websites are loaded sooner. With this processing speed, the HDX is placed among the fastest in the market.

The tablets work with the latest Fire operating system, the Fire OS 3.0 Mojito, based on Android 4.2 Jelly bean. The battery of these new tablets has a duration of 11 hours and up to 17 if in read mode, plus two audio stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus. Both models, the 7 and 8.9 inches, have an HD front camera that is larger than the previous model and it also has a rear camera.

This device has a high screen resolution of 1280×800 at 216 pixels per inch, a Dual-Core 1.5 GHz, two stereo speakers with Dolby Digital Plus and a new design similar to the new Kindle Fire HDX.
