Battle for the Crown: Taking on GooglePosted by On

For years now, Google has been King when it comes to search engines,
being the most commonly used and set as the default on many machines.
Whether you are after the answer to a question, want to track down a lost
relative or find the perfect picture Google was always your first port of
call. For over fifteen years, it has stood at the top of the search engine
chain, dominating the market and unrivalled by even the most sophisticated
rivals out there. However, that could all be about to change with the
emergence of several niche search engines all with a unique feature which is
good enough to rival Google in their own special way. The thirteen chosen by
Ladbrokes as their top contenders
make an interesting group, indeed. They may not be powerful enough to knock
Google of its throne single-handedly, but together they could all take away
a part of Google’s appeal, its market share and most importantly, knock it
off the top spot. Anyway, check out the infographic and let us know what you
think.
